// LEGAL — HARDWARE WARRANTY

WARRANTY

Coverage for the parts and custom builds we supply — and the limits, in plain language.

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This warranty covers hardware — custom PC builds and computer parts — supplied and/or installed by ORYX Core Development (“Oryx”, “we”, “us”). It explains what we cover, for how long, how to make a claim, and the specific conditions that void coverage. Your statutory rights under Philippine consumer law are summarized in the Legal Basis section below and are not diminished by anything here.

Units, cosmetics, LMS, and other in-app digital spends are not covered by this hardware warranty. See Digital goods and Units & top-ups.

// 01 — COVERAGE

What we cover

Covered products

Custom PC builds and hardware parts that Oryx supplied, assembled, or installed for you. Coverage runs from the date of receipt shown on your official receipt or warranty record.

Warranty period

Depending on what was agreed at the time of purchase, your coverage period is either six (6) months or twelve (12) months. The agreed term is stated on your receipt or warranty record and governs your claim.

What you’re entitled to

  • Free repair of a part that proves defective in materials or workmanship under normal use, or
  • Free replacement of the affected part where repair is not practical — the choice between repair and replacement is at Oryx's reasonable discretion.
  • Coverage applies to defects arising under normal, intended use during the agreed period.

What’s not covered

Consumable wear, cosmetic marks that don’t affect function, software or data loss, and any condition listed under What voids the warranty. Back up your data before any service — we are not responsible for data on a unit submitted for repair.

// 02 — HOW TO CLAIM

How to make a claim

What to present

Bring the unit or part together with your official receipt or warranty record. That is all we require to assess a warranty claim — no other paperwork is needed.

Turnaround

Where a valid claim is accepted and repair is elected, we aim to complete warranty service within 30 days, subject to parts availability. If a covered part is unavailable, we will offer a comparable replacement.

Inspection on release

Please inspect and test your unit when you receive it, whether at purchase or after service. Reporting any apparent issue promptly helps us resolve it quickly and protects your coverage.

// 03 — REFUNDS & RETURNS

Refunds & returns

Separate from warranty repair, we offer a goodwill return window for customers who are dissatisfied and want a refund. A refund request is accepted only when both of the following are met:

  • The request is made within 7 days of the purchase date shown on your receipt. Once 7 days have passed, the item is no longer eligible for a refund.
  • The item is returned intact and complete — all original parts present, in original condition, with seals, serial labels, and packaging unbroken and undamaged.

An item that has been used beyond reasonable inspection, modified, opened, tampered with, or is missing original parts is not eligible for a refund. This return window covers change-of-mind dissatisfaction; it does not limit your separate rights for genuinely defective goods under the law summarized below.

// 04 — WHAT VOIDS IT

What voids the warranty

The following void this warranty, in whole or in part. Where any of these is present, Oryx is not obliged to repair or replace under warranty:

  • Modification, upgrade, or alteration of the unit or parts by anyone other than Oryx.
  • Any repair, servicing, or attempted fix performed by the customer or a third party.
  • Opening, disassembling, or tampering with the unit or a sealed part.
  • Broken, removed, defaced, or altered warranty seals, serial numbers, or asset labels.
  • Physical damage, liquid exposure, power surges, improper power supply, overheating from obstructed cooling, or use beyond the agreed specification.
  • Misuse, negligence, accident, unauthorized transport handling, or any use that is not reasonable and intended.

Where an inspection shows obvious signs of tampering, opening, or unauthorized repair, coverage is treated as void immediately from that finding.

// 05 — TAMPERING & LIABILITY

Tampering & limitation of liability

Warranty seals and the integrity of the unit exist to protect both sides. If the unit or its parts show clear signs of tampering, unauthorized opening, or third-party repair, the warranty is void and we cannot be held responsible for the resulting condition of the hardware.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, once this warranty is void (including by tampering) or has expired, ORYX Core Development, its technicians, its employees, and the organization are not liable for the unit, its parts, or any direct or consequential loss arising from their condition or use.

Nothing here removes rights that Philippine law grants you and does not allow us to exclude — see Legal Basis below.

// 06 — AFTER EXPIRY

After the warranty expires

When the agreed 6- or 12-month period ends, this warranty ends with it. After that date ORYX Core Development is under no obligation to repair or replace the unit or its parts free of charge.

We’re still happy to help — repairs, upgrades, and servicing remain available on a paid basis by quotation. Reach out through our contact form and we’ll scope it for you.

// 07 — AS-IS / SECOND-HAND

“As-is” and second-hand items

Items sold explicitly on an “as-is” basis, or as used / second-hand, are sold in their present condition. For these, the principle of caveat emptor (“buyer beware”) applies: you are responsible for inspecting the item and satisfying yourself of its condition before purchase, and any warranty on such items is only what is expressly stated in writing at the time of sale.
