POLICIES

How we handle your information and the platform — in plain language.

Last updated: July 25, 2026 · Terms version 2026-07-25

ORYX Core Development (“Oryx”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and runs a client platform with accounts, wallet Units, communities, and digital goods. We collect only what we need, we don’t sell your personal information, and these policies explain the details in plain language.

Hardware purchases: Hardware Warranty. Media credits: Copyright Ownership. Community conduct: Guidelines.

These pages are not legal advice. Rights you have under Philippine law that cannot be waived still apply. If something here conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection rule, that rule wins for that specific issue.

// 01 — PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

Information we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, company (optional), and message.
  • Account & profile: email, name fields, birthday (for 18+ eligibility), and details you choose to share.
  • Wallet & Units: balances, transfers, spending PIN events (not the PIN itself in cleartext), and top-up requests (amount, method, payment reference, and proof you upload).
  • Store & LMS: purchase records, cosmetics ownership, and course unlocks.
  • Communities & feed: posts, replies, media you upload, membership, and voice-room participation metadata.
  • Friend DMs: end-to-end encrypted message contents (we cannot read them) plus delivery metadata (who / when).
  • Repair / build bookings: contact details, device notes, and diagnostic photos you submit.
  • Usage: basic technical and product-usage signals that help us run and improve the service (including ranking / feed signals where enabled).

Friend messages (end-to-end encryption)

Private 1:1 chats between friends in the ORYX client are end-to-end encrypted. Message contents are encrypted on your device before they are stored. We do not hold keys that can decrypt those contents — so ORYX staff, our database, and a stolen database backup cannot read what you wrote.

  • Protected in a server leak: the text of friend chat messages.
  • Metadata we may store: who is in a conversation and when messages were sent.
  • Not covered: support messages, screenshots on another device, or a compromised browser on your device.
  • Optional chat recovery PIN: stays with you; we cannot use it to read your messages.

Community spaces (not end-to-end encrypted)

Only private 1:1 friend chats are end-to-end encrypted. Community boards, community text chat, and voice calls are not. Voice audio is encrypted in transit with our voice provider (LiveKit) but is not E2E.

How we use your information

  • To run accounts, wallets, communities, store, LMS, bookings, and support.
  • To verify top-ups, prevent fraud, and protect the platform.
  • To build, maintain, and improve the site and client.
  • For advertising or marketing cookies — only with consent, if we ever load them.
  • To comply with law and respond to lawful requests for non-E2E data.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not read end-to-end encrypted friend chat contents. We use submitted details for the purposes described here.

Service providers

We use trusted processors such as hosting (e.g. Vercel), API hosting (e.g. Render), database/auth (Supabase), voice (LiveKit), and email delivery. They process data on our behalf and are expected to protect it.

How long we keep it

  • Account profile data: for the life of the account, then deleted or anonymized under our practices.
  • Top-up and financial metadata: for the life of the account plus up to 24 months (fraud / dispute defense), unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Contact leads: only as long as needed to respond and improve, then delete or anonymize.
  • Encrypted friend chat history: until you or we remove related account data under retention practices.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including end-to-end encryption for friend chats as described above. No method is perfectly secure — especially on a compromised personal device.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you provided via the contact form. We cannot decrypt friend chat contents to produce a readable export of those messages.

Children & eligibility

The ORYX client is for users 18 years or older. The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Accounts that misrepresent age may be terminated.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.

// 02 — COOKIE POLICY

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. Some are essential; others are optional.

Essential cookies

Needed for the site and signed-in sessions to work. We keep use of them to a minimum.

Optional cookies (analytics & advertising)

If we use cookies for analytics or advertising, we will set them only with your consent. We currently keep cookie use minimal. When we add non-essential cookies, we will ask before loading them.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and through our cookie preferences when available. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

// 03 — TERMS OF USE

  • Keep your password and spending PIN confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account and devices.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

  • Use the service lawfully.
  • Do not hack, probe, scrape, overload, or bypass security.
  • Do not commit payment fraud, fake top-up proofs, chargeback abuse, or multi-accounting for abuse.
  • Do not post illegal content, harass others, spam, or steal intellectual property.
  • Follow the Community Guidelines for UGC, voice, and communities.

Our content

Site design, branding, and original ORYX content belong to ORYX Core Development unless credited otherwise. See Copyright Ownership.

Your content (UGC)

You own content you upload. You grant ORYX Core Development a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, moderate, remove, and back up that content as needed to run the platform. You are responsible for what you post.

Services

Marketing pages are general guidance. Hardware sales and warranties are covered by separate records and our Hardware Warranty. Platform features (wallet, communities, store, LMS, games) are provided as described in-product and may change.

Disclaimer

The website and client platform are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, ranking outcomes, or that community spaces will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, ORYX Core Development is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising from the platform in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the PHP amount of your last successfully credited top-up in that period, or (b) one thousand Philippine pesos (₱1,000) — except where a mandatory law says otherwise for that claim.

Third-party links & providers

We may link to other sites or rely on payment apps and processors. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall be brought in Philippine courts of competent jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer venue rights you may have.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after the last-updated date means you accept the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the date / version above.

// 04 — UNITS & TOP-UPS

Units & top-ups

What Units are

Units are a limited, revocable license to access and use features inside the ORYX client (store, LMS, community fees, transfers where enabled, and similar). Units are not cash, bank deposits, e-money for withdrawal, securities, or an investment.

No cash-out

Units cannot be redeemed for Philippine pesos or other fiat except where ORYX, in its sole discretion, issues a goodwill adjustment. There is no right to withdraw Units as cash.

Top-up process

  • You pay via the listed method and submit a request with a payment reference and any required proof.
  • ORYX may accept, reject, or ask for clarification after manual review.
  • False, altered, duplicate, or mismatched proofs may be rejected and may lead to account or wallet freezes.

Payment disputes

If you believe a payment provider transaction is wrong, contact that provider or your bank first. ORYX will review ledger and top-up records after. We do not control GCash, bank apps, or similar third parties.

Freezes & abuse

We may freeze wallets or restrict features for suspected fraud, chargebacks, AUP breaches, or system integrity risk. You will not use Units to launder funds or facilitate illegal payments.

// 05 — DIGITAL GOODS

Digital goods & refunds

Scope

This section covers cosmetics, LMS unlocks, community creation fees, and other in-app spends paid with Units. It does not cover physical hardware — see Hardware Warranty.

Final when granted

When a Units debit succeeds and the digital item or access is granted, the purchase is final and non-refundable, except where a mandatory Philippine consumer rule applies to that specific paid service and cannot be waived.

Chargebacks

A chargeback or payment dispute after digital delivery may result in account restriction, Units clawback where feasible, and refusal of future top-ups.

// 06 — ENFORCEMENT

Enforcement

Our rights

  • Investigate suspected abuse, fraud, or guideline breaches.
  • Warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts.
  • Remove or hide content.
  • Freeze wallets temporarily while investigating.

Monitoring

We do not promise to review all user content in real time. We act on reports, automated signals, and investigations as we reasonably can.

Lawful requests

Where required by law, we may disclose non-end-to-end-encrypted data to competent authorities. End-to-end encrypted friend chat contents remain unreadable to ORYX. We may also remove illegal content and preserve evidence as required.

Your responsibility

You remain responsible for your conduct and content. Policies do not excuse criminal activity. If you believe something on the platform is illegal or abusive, report it via the contact form (in-app reporting may expand over time).
